45 to 49 year old Health Checks
We invite you for a SNAP health check under the Government’s Australian Better Health Initiative. We will bulk bill this visit* (*limit 1 per person age 45 - 49).
Smoking - if you smoke we will check to see how ready you are to give up and discuss possible ways to quit.
Nutrition - we will check your weight and advise on what is healthy..
Alcohol - intake will be assessed and safe guidelines advised.
Physical activity - How much do you do? How much do you need to do?
We will also offer you a skin cancer check, remind you of any screening tests and immunisations that are due.
Blood tests will be ordered during the health check if required.
Our practice nurses will undertake most of the assessment. Your GP will discuss the findings with you perform the skin check and suggest any further measures that are required. This may involve further appointments.
