Appointments:
Our standard appointments are 10 - 15 minutes. If you require more time please ask for a double appointment. Psychological and workplace problems, 3 or more issues, an issue plus a pap smear, skin checks, or if you are tired all the time, are examples when double appointments should be booked.
We may ask you to return for a second appointment if it seems time is running out.
Urgent Appointments:
Please let the receptionist know if you feel you need to be seen urgently. You will be put through to the nurse to discuss arrangements.
You should always be able to see a doctor on the day of your choice although your preferred doctor may not be available.
Home Visits:
These are available - please give us as much notice as possible.
After Hours Service:
An after hours service is available, however a $170 fee is payable at time of consultation. There is no bulk-billing for after hours services. Contact 0411 257 499
Student Doctors:
James Cook University Medical Students are present on occasion. They are highly supervised, however, if you prefer not to see the students, please let the receptionist know.
